AlphaMeD is a hybrid urgent care-sports medicine practice that promises a better urgent care experience to patients and employees. We are opening destination walk-in medical facilities in the neighborhoods and communities we serve by focusing on people, places, and processes. We have built four beautiful, new, clean facilities that delight our patients, and we create a frictionless, fast, and simple experience for them to receive the highest standards in the urgent medical space.
- Take medical histories, perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, interpret test results, and develop treatment plans as part of their duties
- Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
- Reports to the work site on time. Comes prepared to care for patients. Supports the company and urgent care site through actions as well as words.
- Interacts with management regularly. Keeps management and Medical Director informed of concerns and potential liability situations.
- Obtains an adequate history and performs an appropriate physical examination for the presenting problem.
- Orders pertinent laboratory and radiographic studies as needed based on the initial evaluation.
- Makes appropriate therapeutic decisions in conjunction with the patient based on the information gathered.
- Administers appropriate medication or treatment as necessary.
- Reviews and signs diagnostic reports and follows up on patient care as indicated.
- Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with urgent care standards. Abides by Universal Precaution and promotes the use of the precautions.
- Ensures accurate maintenance of patient’s medical records and the patient records are treated as confidential information.
- Participates in the development of education programs of the urgent care staff. Attends meetings as required. Attends education programs as needed.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends.
- Be available and participate in on-call assignments.
- Participates in education programs and attends meetings as required.
- Participates in the orientation and/or training of newly hired personnel.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- work effectively under pressure and make rapid, informed decisions.
- Ability to analyze complex medical information and apply critical thinking skills is critical to the success of treatment plans
Qualifications
- Medical License in AZ
- BLS/ACLS/PALS
